Now, we sit down to read this book. The mommy in the book tells the boy it's nap time. My son can see how the little boy in the book responds and naps nicely.
I can then lay him down and tell him to nap nicely like the boy in the book. We've taken a cue from the books and differentiated nap time, bed time, and "calm down time" › Books › Children's Books › Growing Up & Facts of Life.
We love this series. Most of the other books teach the children good behavior. I thought this book would role model good napping routines/behavior/benefits. Very The second nap I typically will work out, shower, and get ready. The third nap is a toss up – sometimes I clean, sometimes I do laundry, sometimes I run errands, sometimes I nap. The fourth nap is getting shorter and shorter these days, so I usually have just enough time to My younger son had a transition time from "nap every day" to "no naps," in which he would take a nap every other day, then every third day, then once a week -- a gradual change.
